Generic training plans leave YOU out of the equation. They may get you to the finish line, but they may also leave you injured, or wondering if your opportunity for that best performance was left on the course.
Generic training plans are dumbed-down to cater to a large cross segment of the population. Unfortunately they do not take into account your experience level, your past injury profile, your age, your availability to train, your fitness level and other specifics about you that impact results.
We, on the other hand, take the time necessary to learn about you, your background and create a plan just right for you.
The first thing we do is gather and analyzes your runner profile. We do this using a combination of email exchanges and having you complete a detailed questionnaire. The goal of this step is to gather background information regarding your health and fitness, race information and identify your goals. We also determine your desire and availability to train and other lifestyle factors that could potentially get in the way. We then use what we learn to build a training plan best designed to meet your goals and busy lifestyle.
After completing your assessment, we work with you to create a training calendar that works around your schedule, yet meet your goals. Prefer to do your long run on a Friday, we can accommodate that. Want to work in an extra cross training day, we can make it happen. We create plans up to 24 weeks in length for any race distance from the 5k, to 50k.
Your training calendar contains easy to follow, detailed workout instructions that are designed to accelerate your running goals. Your training plan comes with comprehensive workout details and you can add additional details to a workout log, even add your own workouts like strength training, group fitness classes, cycling, swimming and more!

During training for my first marathon I had no clue what I was doing. I followed a beginner training plan from a local running store with two short mid week runs and one long weekend run. I was able to finish the race, however, it was not pretty. I really struggled and left the race feeling defeated.
Coach Stephanie set up a training plan for me. My first marathon finish was 4:37 and this time I was shooting for 4 hours at the Marine Corps Marathon. I filled out an in depth questionnaire about my current fitness level, base mileage, previous injuries, vacations planned during training, and any races that I was signed up for that would occur during training. Stephanie hooked me up with a fantastic plan consisting of a cross training day, speedwork, mid week runs, and a long weekend run.
I followed it to a T. I had one race during training, a 20 miler, that I PR'd by 20 minutes! Going into the marathon I felt prepared and strong.
