Resolved Question: Most efficient way to burn fat, any tips please and few questions from me?

During this summer I've been doing strength/weight training however about a week ago a fitness trainer did some calculations and had me hold onto this machine that concluded my body is 26.9% fat :( . And after hearing that 23% is considered very poor, I am concerned. I am 18, 190lbs, 5' 11" . I know for my age I won't have any troubles for now however I'd like to diminish the problem for when I am older. So anyway.... I decided to completely drop weight lifting and go straight to cardio work like treadmill and bicycle and some other machine that's like the bicycle but with arms. My goal is to drop 10 lbs and maintain weight at 180 and hope i grow an inch or two :P. I know the main objective is to output (work) more than i input (eat) and eventually I'll lose weight however I was wondering if that's more efficient methods. Like is doing cardio only going to progress it faster because I read weight lifting is actually good for fat loss.
